Im an avid singer, and Ive noticed a couple of strange things that
most voice coaches dont seem to consider. One = when I do some sort of
cardio exercise (jogging, swimming) my breath control and technique
improve vastly. Two = when I do heavy weightlifting that involves my
abs/core area like squats or bench, my RANGE and POWER improves like
crazy (I basically go from being a bass to a tenor - but not some
wimpy a$$ tenor, I mean like strong diaphragm supported tenor)
Ive done a lot of research on this, and considering that singing
involves the diaphragm and is a muscle like any other, im not just
imagining all of this right?
please dont tell me to take some silly introductory singing/music
class or any of that newbie stuff. Ive been soloist for my chamber
choir for years and am already a very good singer/artist. Im just
interested in the technical aspects of singing.
